(WHAS11) -- Thousands of Cards season ticket holders will have to find another way to get in to Lucas Oil Stadium other than UofL.

“We have a very small allotment that the NCAA provides for the NCAA tournament and for this round it's 1,250 tickets,” Kenny Klein, Sports Information Director, said.

Klein said after tickets were set aside for the team, coaches, staff and students only about 500 were left over for donors. Fans who didn’t make the cut received and email stating 215 donors were able to be accommodated with two tickets and all of the those accounts has $100,000 or more in lifetime giving.

“I feel like your average fan has just gotten shut out,” Julie Logsdon, season ticket holder, said.

Lucas Oil Stadium accommodates 67,000 people, but this year the court for the tournament will be located in the end zone and the capacity will be reduced to 31,000. Klein speculated that the close location could be a reason for the high demand of tickets. He also said they didn’t receive more or less tickets than previous years.
