2002 — U2 U2 pulled out all the stops for this moving halftime show, featuring their soulful songs “Beautiful Day” and “MLK.” As a tribute to 9/11, while Bono belted out “Where the Streets Have No Name,” the names of the victims of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks scrolled across the backdrop.
