Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - Vikings training camp has begun and Teddy Bridgewater is fighting to earn the title of starting quarterback, but right now, he's behind the eight-ball.

Head Coach Mike Zimmer said veteran Matt Cassel is the number-one quarterback right now.
If the former Cardinal wants to start by week one, he needs to turn some heads over the next few weeks.

Veteran linebacker Wesley Woodyard has a new home this fall.

The former Wildcat signed with the Tennessee Titans in the offseason after spending his first six years with the Broncos.

Woodyard should provide some veteran leadership for a team that's struggling to find its way.
He was asked if he's picked the brain of new head coach Ken Whisenhunt to get an idea of what camp is going to be like.

"Nah I haven't picked anybody's brain. Coach Whisenhunt is a pretty straightforward coach so whatever he says is going to be is pretty much going to be that. This is year seven and I'm just blessed to be in another NFL training camp and I'm excited to see what it's about. I feel like a rookie all over again," he said.

The AAU Nationals are still going strong at the expo center and The Ville continues to roll.

The group made up primarily of Louisville natives advanced to the round of 16 yesterday. The team is led by Trinity center Ray Spalding who committed to UofL last weekend.
