Louisville, Ky. (WHAS11) - The NBA summer league begins July 5 down in Orlando, and to say we have a players with a local connection would be an understatement.

Making his NBA debut with the Philadelphia 76ers is former Wildcat Nerlens Noel, who missed all of last year because he was rehabbing from his ACL injury that he suffered during his only year at Kentucky.

Here's a list of the rest of the guys:

-- Marquis Teague with the Nets

-- James Young with the Celtics

-- Luke Hancock with the Magic.

The trio of Peyton Siva, Deandre Liggins and Christian Watford with the Pistons. There's more to come next week in Las Vegas.

We are officially a month out from the PGA Championship at Valhalla.

When the tournament finally gets here, no doubt there will be a lot of eyes on Kentuckian Kenny Perry.

You could say he's going to have to deal with a lot of distractions here in Louisville. Perry anticipates around 300 ticket requests for the event.

The  Nascar Nationwide Series at Daytona for the Firecracker 250 had a photo-finish between Regan Smith, Kyle larson and Kasey Kahne. What a race! It's the sprint cup's turn on July 5.
