(WHAS11) -- The University of Kentucky made history in the first round of the NBA draft. Player of the year Anthony Davis was drafted first to the New Orleans Hornets. The Charlotte Bobcats then took Michael Kidd-Gilchrist marking the first time in history two players from the same school have gone first and second overall.
In total four Kentucky players were drafted in the first round. Terrence Jones went to the Houston Rockets and Marquis Teague went to the Chicago Bulls. Both Kentucky and North Carolina had four player drafted in the first round.
Kentucky's Doron Lamb went to the Milwaukee Bucks and Darius Miller went to the New Orleans Hornets.
