LOUISVILLE, Ky. – After more than a week of preseason camp, the Louisville women’s soccer team will continue its preparations for the 2012 season with a pair of exhibition games this weekend at Cardinal Park.
The Cardinals will open their exhibition schedule against Ohio State on Friday at 6 p.m., before closing the weekend on Sunday at 1 p.m., against Wright State. Admission is free for both of this weekend’s exhibition matches.
Friday Coaches Clinic: A half an hour before the match begins, soccer coaches from all over are encouraged to arrive early to hear Coach Karen Ferguson-Dayes discuss soccer strategy and tactics. If interested, please RSVP by calling (502) 852-7547.
Sunday Pregame Clinic: Starting at 11 a.m., kids 12 and under are encouraged to join the Cards in a pregame soccer clinic. Participants will have the chance to learn techniques and fundamentals from the current Cardinals to help them improve their game.
Soles4Souls on Sunday: Once again, the Cardinals will be partnering with the “Souls 4 Soles” charity. Fans are asked to donate gently used shoes which will then be distributed to those in need.
