LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – Fresh off the heels of their Sugar Bowl win, the Louisville Cardinals received a surprise today during the U.S. Army’s All-American Bowl.
Trinity graduate, star wide-receiver and Mr. Football, James Quick announced he wanted to remain home and chose Louisville over Ohio State and Oregon.
Quick contributed to the success of the Trinity football program leading them to three consecutive state titles from 2010 to 2012.
According to Rivals.com, Quick was a four-star prospect, ranked no. 2 in the state and ranked no. 14 at his position nationally.
The Louisville Football coaching staff or coach Charlie Strong hasn’t release a statement as of yet.
