(WHAS11) -- After careful reflection Sunday morning, UK's Coach Cal shared his thoughts on the state of the team and where they are headed.

Following a statement he made after Kentucky's brutal loss to Tennessee on Saturday, Coach John Calipari writes, "I may say publicly they are 'uncoachable,' but I refuse to believe that because I believe in these guys and I believe they can change. I say it to get them to change, to prove to themselves and others that they can do this.

Coach Calipari goes on to quote Martin Luther King Jr., "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands in times of challenge and controversy,” and encourages his team and fans to rally and fight.
