LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Kenny Klein with the University of Louisville says the university has approved an 8-year deal worth $3.7 million a year for coach Charlie Strong.
This means Strong could go from the thirty-second to the seventh highest paid coach. ESPN college football reporter Brent McMurphy says Strong would only trail Saban, Brown, Stoops, Meyer, Miles and Ferentz. Strong could make more than double three ACC coaches.
With the deal, Strong has a $5 million buyout if he leaves in 2013. WHAS11 is following this story and will bring you more information as it becomes available.
