LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) --Some families' allegiance to Louisville or Kentucky can be traced back generations, with the colors of red or blue worn as symbols that define priorities. Then there are those Commonwealth families, seemingly growing each year, that have splintered, and the rivalry between the Cards and Cats divides households.

That's the story for some people we found two days before Kentucky will play Louisville at the Yum Center. The game is 4 p.m. Saturday, and the Cards are looking to break a four-game losing streak in the series, which includes the 2012 Final Four loss to the Cats which propelled the boys in blue to their eighth national championship. UofL Coach Rick Pitino will be trying to win his first game in the series over UK coach John Calipari.
