LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Cards quarterback Teddy Bridgewater called fans on Tuesday and left a recorded message pushing for support and reminding some that tickets are still available for the Sugar Bowl. It said in part,

“You’ve been such a big part of our success this season. We would love to see you down in the Big Easy as we take on Florida.”

The vacant seats follow Charlie Strong’s criticism of fans and a comparison to Big Blue Nation last week during a press conference.

“Kentucky can travel with the Big Blue Nation, they go take over. We should have that same passion here,” Strong said.

“I wish I could go. I work all the time,” Isaiah Hoagland said.

Strong’s team spent the morning in front of the cameras for a promo photo shoot for the BCS game. Louisville plays Florida in New Orleans on Jan. 2 in the Superdome. Tickets are still available through the ticket office and gocards.com.
