LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Since Bobby Petrino has become the new football coach at Louisville, the roster has acquired a few transfer players. Now, Petrino and his staff are expecting another to join the team.
Malin Jones, a running back from Northwestern, will become a Cardinal. Jones played eight games last season as a true freshman. Jones was a 3-star prospect out of his Illinois high school and had a scholarship offer from Louisville.
Jones will have to sit out the upcoming year due to NCAA transfer rules but will join the team's active roster for the 2015 season. Jones will have three years of eligibility remaining.
