(WHAS11) -It's one expensive Mint Julep, but the proceeds all go to a good cause.

The $1,000 Mint Julep was unveiled for this year's Kentucky Derby on Monday.

It helps raise money for permanently disabled jockeys and the Robby Albarado Foundation.

Albarado says his foundation helps the homeless and disabled right here in Louisville.

In the three years the Mint Julep Cup program has been around, it has raised $250 thousand for different horseracing related charities.
