(BaseballStL) – The St. Louis Cardinals have a new hurdle to clear in the World Series, and this one has nothing to do with baseball.

According to manager Mike Matheny, the team’s plane is stuck on the tarmac at Lambert Airport in St. Louis with mechanical problems.

It is unclear how long the plane has been grounded, or how long it is expected to remain so.

Game 6 of the World Series is scheduled for Wednesday night in Boston.
