Lakisha Freeman scored 20 points and No. 19 Purdue used a late run to defeat Prairie View A&M on Sunday in the Waikiki Beach Marriott Classic.
Danielle Campbell added 12 points, 15 rebounds and three blocks for the Boilermakers (5-1).
With the game tied at 45 with 11 minutes left, Purdue closed with a 20-6 run. Purdue opened the game with a 15-2 run and took a 25-11 lead on Brittany Rayburn's 3-pointer.
The Boilermakers, who had a 31-35 lead at the half, struggled from 3-point range, hitting just 2 of 10.
Dominique Smith came off the bench to lead the Lady Panthers (1-6) with 19 points, including 15 in the first half.
Prairie View had a horrible start, going 1-of-16 from the field, but climbed back into the game. A driving layup by Candice Thomas tied the game at 45 and capped a 14-8 run.
