LOUISVILLE, Ky.  --  Police have arrested a Louisville man after they said he resisted arrest following a domestic violence accusation.

According to LMPD, officers responded to a domestic violence dispatch near Fairdale. After arriving to the scene, the 13-year-old son of the victim told police that his mother and her boyfriend were fighting. He was left alone, as neither the mother nor boyfriend were in the house when police arrived, police said..

Police reports say the officers heard shouting in the distance and stepped outside.  The boy's mother was walking toward police behind her boyfriend, Shawn Gentry, 29, yelling, "He just beat the s*** out of me."

LMPD says that Gentry was walking and shouting obscenities. When police, in full uniform, told him to stop, Gentry proceeded toward the officers with clinched fists and said, "Who the f*** are you?"

Officers responded by telling Gentry to put his hands behind his back. Gentry refused and began to get violent with police. Kicking and resisting arrest, officers were forced to take down Gentry two different times, they noted in their report.

Gentry is facing multiple charges due to his resisting of arrest. His domestic violence charges  are still pending and under investigation.
