NEW ALBANY, Ind. (WHAS11) -- The Floyd County Coroner has identified a woman's body discovered on the Indiana shore of the Ohio River on Friday.
New Albany police officers were called to the river bank behind QRS Recycling at 1001 Floyd Street just before 10:30 a.m. Friday after the body was spotted by a crew on a passing river barge.
According to the Floyd County Coroner, it appears that 60-year-old Barbara Mudd of Louisville may have jumped from the Second Street Bridge. Police found Mudd's vehicle parked a quarter of a mile from the bridge in Jeffersonville. Police were able to match her description with a missing persons report filed by her husband the night before.
