LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man is facing several charges after police said he assaulted a woman and her daughter.
According to a police report, 55-year-old James Stafford came home angry and began slapping and pushing the alleged victim. Police said Stafford then punched his daughter in the face several times, causing injury.
After assaulting both victims, police said he then went in to the kitchen and came out with a knife. Stafford forced the daughter to the ground and placed the knife to her neck.
When officers arrived at the scene they said they found Stafford sitting on the couch. Stafford refused to follow officers commands - that's when officers said he stood up and "took a bladed stance toward officers."
Stafford is charged with wanton endangerment, assault, menacing and resisting arrest.
