LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- A Louisville man is facing charges after police said he fled an officer on foot during a pat down.
According to the arrest warrant, an officer observed Theodore Dailey III looking inside a church at 26th and Virginia that was not open at the time. The officer approached Dailey and asked him for his identification - that's when officer said he observed a bulge in Dailey's shirt. The officer attempted to pat down Dailey when he jumped back and fled on foot.
While fleeing, police said Dailey tripped and fell injuring his left hand and knee before he started running again. Dailey then hid from the officer, and was not located.
Dailey was subsequently arrested on Tuesday afternoon and charged with fleeing 1st degree, wanton endangerment 2nd degree and criminal trespass 3rd degree.
