LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police arrested a man on robbery and kidnapping charges after they say he threatened a woman for money.

According to a police report, Ramon Robinson, 34, went to a woman's house and threatened her while there were children present. Robinson then grabbed a butcher knife and forced the victim out of the house into a vehicle, the report says.

Robinson told the victim he was going to hold onto her to get $700 he said she owed him. According to the report Robinson said, "If you don't get me the money, I will take care of you!"

Robinson carried the knife as he drove and went to a bank at 15th and Broadway. The report says he forced the victim to go to the ATM while he sat in the car.

Someone back at the house called 911 and gave operators the victim's phone number. The victim told Robinson the card was not working until police arrived.

Robinson has been charged with first degree robbery, kidnapping of an adult and fourth degree assault.
