LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Thousands of homes are still without power Friday morning after storms rolled through Kentuckiana Halloween night.

The heavy rain lasted several hours, and winds led to many calls about downed trees and powerlines.

At the height of the storm as many as 17,000 residents were in the dark.

WHAS11 photographer, Jason Solan, is one of those residents without power. He also has damage to his home after a tree fell on the roof.

Solan said the damage appears to be minor, but he is also relieved because every time it storms he worried about the tree falling.

WHAS11's Brittany Gonzalez is out surveying the damage and has more in the video player above.
