LEXINGTON, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The streak continues. Florida now owns a 27 game winning steak over Kentucky. This time the Cats were no match for the Gators up front.

UK's offense never got in sync managing just 173 yards of total offense and was 1 of 8 on 3rd down. When Kentucky started moving the ball they eventually shot themselves in the foot by not executing a gadget play.

After the game Mark Stoops admitted, "I felt like we needed to take some shots." It's a very honest statement. The Cats had to try and trick Florida into an upset. It's where they are right now, but in order to be a consistent winner they'll eventually have to play straight up against a team like the Gators.

In the meantime Kentucky needs to settle on one quarterback. Neither Max Smith or Jalen Whitlow can get into a rhythm, and when one does, here comes the other guy trotting on the field.

Jojo Kemp also has to see the field more because he appears to be a difference maker. Kemp broke off an 11 yard run the first time he touched the ball and showed he had every bit as much speed as any player on Florida's defense. The freshman didn't see the ball again until the 3rd quarter. Credit the kid after the game, he didn't complain, he was a team player, he also didn't have any answers as to why he's not playing more but neither did Stoops or Neal Brown.

In the meantime get used to the throwbacks, reverses, and fake field goals. Remember Rome wasn't built in a day. It's going to take time.
