(WHAS11) -- An Indiana State Police K-9 killed in the line of duty during a standoff will be remembered Monday.
Kilo was fatally shot last month while searching a Sellersburg neighborhood for an armed suspect later identified by police as Joshua Priddy. A Clark County Sheriff's deputy was also wounded.
The memorial will take place at Northside Christian Church, 4407 Charlestown Road in New Albany. The event is set to begin at 1 p.m.
Kilo’s handler, Nathan Abbott, will be in attendance.
The Indiana State Police have set up a fund in Kilo's memory. All donations will be used to support the ISP K9 program.
