LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A Louisville father is facing charges after police say he left his two children inside a cold care while he shoplifted.

Robert Collins, 30, is charged with endangering the welfare of a minor and theft Monday night when temperatures hovered around 26 degrees.

Police say Collins left his two-year-old and 5-year-old inside a car that was not running at the Wal-Mart in the Hillview subdivision.

Police also say Collins then went inside Wal-Mart and placed three televisions in a shopping cart and then walked out.
