LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- The battle over whether a proposed 17 story condominium in the Highlands will be built continues.
On Tuesday the Metro Council committee on planning/zoning met to decide whether to uphold a recommendation to reject a re-zoning proposal that would prevent the complex from being built.
If the full Metro Council rejects the proposal the developer will have to wait two years before requesting the change again.
Dozens of Cherokee Triangle residents were at Tuesday's meeting. In the end the committee voted to table the decision because they wanted more time because of all controversy surrounding the plans.
Residents who oppose the Willow Grande said they were happy the committee was taking more time to review the recommendation.
The committee will have to vote at their next meeting on July 30 at 1:30 p.m.
