(WHAS11) -- Her name is Lily, an unassuming therapist who brings holiday cheer at southern Indiana rehab hospital.

Lily a five-year-old pooch is a cross between a doodle and golden retriever, so a golden doodle.

She is not just any golden doodle, but a certified therapist. One of her holiday assignments is offering holiday cheer with "lilygrams." She has been giving personalized greeting cards with their own woof and special deliveries of candy canes to patients at the Southern Indiana Rehab Hospital.

Lily has walked the hospital halls for three and a half years putting smiles on countless faces.

She is not just bringing smiles but she is also assisting patients like Mary who recently fell and is just getting back on her feet. Lily's job is to make sure she takes her time walking.

Deb Strickler is Lily’s handler and says Lily helps patients who are impulsive and go fast try and slow down.

Lily gets results, in fact some people try harder for Lily than her human counterparts.

Lily is a motivator, a patient pleaser and this time of year, Santa's number one helper offering a furry dose of holiday cheer.
