LOUISVILLE, Ky.  --  A Louisville man has been arrested after police caught him shoplifting and in possession of several illegal drugs.

According to LMPD, an officer witnessed Anthony Dukes, 24, pick up a few bottled sodas and bags of chips and walk out of a downtown gas station without paying. While Dukes was walking toward his car, the officer stopped him and noticed a bag of pills in his left hand.

Police say that poison control identified the pills as Hydrocodone, Xanax, Loratab, Alprazolam and Tizanibine. Dukes had several pills of each kind. He also had $642 cash in his pocket. Upon searching Dukes' car, police found a bag stashed underneath a seat, containing several small bags of crack cocaine, indicative of trafficking.

Police reports said Dukes had glassy, bloodshot eyes, was falling asleep while talking to officers and repeated himself several times. Police believe Dukes was high and said he was a danger to others.

Dukes is facing multiple drug trafficking charges.
