JEFFERSONVILLE, Ind. (WHAS11) -- Thirty-two-year-old Chad Anderson was killed early Saturday morning after being thrown from the golf cart when his friend, Matthew Myers, took a sharp turn on the 200 block of Spring Street.

Anderson’s father in-law, Major Chuck Adams, is the spokesman for the Clark County Sheriff's Office said Anderson died from internal bleeding after he broke several ribs and punctured his liver.

Police said they found beer inside the golf cart and arrested Myers.

Myers is charged with operating while intoxicated. At this point it is unclear if other charges will be filed.

Anderson leaves behind a wife and three year-old son. Adams said he feels like he lost his own son. He said his daughter and Anderson just bought a home and planned to move in May.
