LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Several people Wednesday morning came outside to find money scattered in their yards on Hikes Lane. Police say that money was stolen after a man robbed a Captains D’s fast food restaurant on the 2900 block of Breckenridge Lane at gunpoint.

Police say the suspects, identified by police as James Beverly Jr. and Jahvany Derisier, got away with an undisclosed amount of cash. Beverly fled in a four-door Chrysler sedan, but crashed into an SUV on the 2800 block of Hikes Lanes.

Beverly took off from the crash site on foot. Police found the car abandoned in the middle of the road a short time later.

“Sixth Division officers were able to get a positive description from witnesses,” said Dwight Mitchell, a spokesperson for Metro police. “They saw the individual cut between houses.”

Officers were able to arrest Beverly Jr. and Derisier.  Beverly was arrested abetween Canaan Missionary Baptist Church and the backyard of a home on Glenmeade Road. Derisier was arrested at Captain D's.

Beverly Jr. was taken to University Hospital with minor injuries. He will likely face robbery and other charges.

Police say Derisier was a Captain D's employee.
