ELIZABETHTOWN, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Car lovers came out in Elizabethtown Saturday all to celebrate the final day of the “Cruisin’ the Heartland” car show.
Classic cars were parked along the side of the roads in downtown Etown all for onlookers to enjoy.
“I love it. It's my Christmas. It is like Christmas to me just to be here,” participant David Lee Pepper said.
Pepper brought his 1955 Chevy Bel Air to the show. He said the car is a close match to the Bel Air he owned when he was courting his wife.
The only difference, he said, is the "Back to the Future" is painted on the windshield. Pepper said his granddaughter thought it would be a neat idea.
