(WHAS11) -- Gas prices are taking a hit from Tropical Storm Issac this Labor Day weekend. In just a day many saw gas prices all around town jump.
"That's not bad. You got to have it, " said Jeanette Huff a motorist.
It's a sight that motorists expected, gas prices jumping all over Kentuckiana, $3.69 here to $4 across town.
"What can you do, there's not a thing we can do about it. They are going to keep charging what they want to charge, " said Dean Tidwell a Motorist
The storm in the Gulf forced a number of oil refineries to close which cut output from the gulf. The national average is $3.80 and the average in Louisville is 3.75. Prices in town are the lowest across the state.
"Get it while you can enjoy it and be prepared though as you head outside Jefferson County if you are going somewhere on Labor Day you will see some higher prices, " said Roger Boyd of AAA Kentucky
Indiana and Ohio saw the biggest one day spikes so trips to the north could cost you more. Drivers are not happy.
