LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- WHAS11 talked with the family of 19-year-old Dion Greene after he was stabbed early Wednesday morning.

Doctors said he has a "50/50 chance of survival." Greene sustained one stab wound when police said a fight broke out at a home on Dutschke Road around 1 a.m.

Greene's family said he went with friends to a party at the home.  He is father to a 5-month-old. Greene is set to start his senior year at Valley High School.

Police have arrested 21-year-old Damien A. McLean III in connection with the stabbing. He is charged with 1st degree assault.
