LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- After 55 years in business, a grocery store in the Highlands is closing its doors. Burger's Market has been a staple in the community around Cherokee Triangle.
It's a bittersweet thought for Tony, his brother Jeff and sister Jolene will open the doors here for the last time. Their father opened the store in 1958 and it has been in the family ever since.
The closing of the store will be a new beginning for the family. While they are sad to say goodbye, the Burger's are grateful for the experience and the support their customers have always shown.
Burger's last day in business is March 16. They say there has been interest in the building and they plan on selling, but no final decisions have been made.
