LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Almost two months after the Big Four Bridge opened, officials say they are still having issues with people not picking up after their pets.

“Every single day I have to send a crew up with power washers and steam clean it,” Gary Pepper, Waterfront Park Facilities Director said.

“There were two messes there, up at the top, unfortunately,” Dana Guzman said on Monday.

Pepper said banning dogs may be the only solution.

“We’ll let the board decide at the end of the month at our next meeting, but we're not seeing any improvement from the community at all. So, it's kind’ve disappointing,” Pepper said.

Pepper said they’re also finding graffiti on the bridge, but he said that was expected.
