SELLERSBURG, Ind. (WHAS11) -- Clarksville police have arrested two people in connection with a murder in Sellersburg, Ind. Steven Baldwin was killed on March 11 at his home during a break-in.

Police arrested former Silver Creek High School students Christopher Jared Sowders, 18, and Garreth Stephens, 19. They’re accused of shooting Baldwin after they realized he was home when they tried to break-in.

“The fact that I wasn't there to help him and he had to die with them leaving him like that, it just makes me so angry,” Melanie Coghill, Baldwin’s wife, said.

Blake Glaab, Baldwin’s step son, said he went to school with Sowders and Stephens and also considered Sowders to be a friend until he says he started getting into trouble.

Both are charged with murder and burglary.

Blake Glaab also released the following statement to WHAS11:

"Regarding the arrests of the two people who murdered my stepfather, I am very happy to hear that the monsters who committed this act are in custody. I am pleased that police were able to do such a swift investigation and make the arrests for the murder of my stepfather. It is a bittersweet feeling, because although I am happy they were arrested, it will not bring back my stepfather. I want to thank God and the police for bringing justice to these people and providing some closure for my family. I am anxiously awaiting for these two people to be sent to jail hopefully for the rest of their lives."
