LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- Police arrested two adults on charges of endangering a minor while they were under the influence of drugs at a Louisville restaurant.

According to a police report, officers were called to an Applebee's restaurant on Dixie Highway in response to two intoxicated individuals with a small child.

Michelle Windgassen, 27, and John Lewis, 32, were leaving the restaurant with their three-year-old child, according to witnesses. When officers arrived on the scene they found Windgassen in the bathroom snorting heroin, according to a police report.

Officers recovered narcotics that she was trying to snort. According to the police report Windgassen had a container with Xanax bars inside her purse.

Lewis admitted to officers that they were with the child all day and that he had snorted heroin a couple hours earlier.
