OLDHAM COUNTY, Ky. (WHAS11) -- WHAS11 News received the following email issued by Oldham County Schools warning residents of a woman going door to door trying to sell books to Oldham County families.

"We have become aware that a young lady is approaching Oldham County families at their homes in an attempt to sell educational books.  The young lady has stated that she is doing an internship through a Florida university that requires her to make sales calls on Oldham County families during the next 6 weeks.  As part of her sales pitch, she has stated that she is 'working with our schools,' and that she has made sales to other families that you may know from your neighborhoods."

"This young lady is not affiliated with the district or our schools in any manner.  At this point the only information we have about her is that her name is Megan and that she drives a green Toyota Corolla with Florida license plates.  The families that she has approached reported that she did not leave any contact information for her or the company she is working for."

"We want parents to know that this is not a district approved or endorsed program."
