Brittany Gonzalez joined the WHAS11 team in May 2012 as a reporter.
Brittany started her journalism career at 41NBC in Macon, Georgia, as a general assignment reporter. While in Macon, she covered everything from crime to politics to environmental stories.
Brittany held the Bibb County School System accountable when there were allegations of a special needs student being sexually assaulted during school hours. She also covered the disappearance and brutal slaying of Mercer Law Grad, Lauren Giddings.
Originally from Portland, Oregon, Brittany graduated from the University of Oregon with a broadcasting degree and minor in business administration. She is also an avid DUCK football fan. Her passion for telling peoples’ stories started at an early age when she visited the set of a local morning show in the 2nd grade. Brittany loves the Northwest, but the South has a special place in her heart after living in Georgia and now Kentucky.
Brittany misses her family back in Portland, but is very excited to be following her life-long dream. She understands everyone has a story and feels it is an honor to tell them. Brittany looks forward to exploring the Bluegrass State and hearing stories about the people of Kentuckiana and sharing them with you!
