Maggie Ruper

Anchor

Maggie Ruper joined the WHAS 11 team in January of 2012 as a reporter and anchor.

Maggie started her career at WTOV-9 in Steubenville, Ohio as a producer, reporter and weekend anchor. She has covered numerous local and national stories- from sitting down one-on-one with former Ohio Governor Ted Strickland to covering the escape of dozens of exotic animals in Zanesville, Ohio in 2011. Maggie has also covered many breaking news events, including anchoring and producing live coverage the night Osama Bin Laden’s death was announced by President Obama.

An Ohio native, Maggie grew up in Rocky River, a suburb of Cleveland. She is a graduate of The Ohio State University where she earned a degree in Mass Communication and Social Issues. She completed internships at WBNS-10TV in Columbus, Ohio and NBC News in New York-- working behind the scenes on Today and NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams.

Maggie is excited to experience Louisville and covering stories that matter to the community. You can email her story ideas at mruper@whas11.com.
