COPENHAGEN (AP) — Danish officials say that a 60-year-old man is the country's first swine flu-related fatality.

The National Board of Health says the chronically ill Dane died in a Copenhagen hospital on Nov. 18. It was the second Dane to be killed by swine flu. Norway's health officials reported in September that a Danish truck driver died in that country of pneumonia caused by the swine flu virus.

Friday's announcement gave no more details. Danish health officials have stopped keeping an official tally of confirmed cases but say they believe tens of thousands of Danes have probably been infected by the virus.
