Turkey reports third swine flu fatality

ANKARA, Turkey (AP) — Two swine flu patients died on Thursday, bringing the death toll from the swine flu in Turkey to three, the Health Ministry said.

A 34-year-old female swine flue patient died in the southeastern city of Diyarbakir and a 37-year-old female patient died hours after she was hospitalized in the central Anatolian city of Konya, the ministry said.

A male hospital worker died last week.

More than 1,400 people have tested positive for swine flu in Turkey.

The ministry said 16 of them were currently being treated at hospitals. Three of them were in critical condition.
