AMSTERDAM (AP) — Dutch and Belgian prosecutors say they have arrested two men suspected of membership in a terrorist group in a joint operation.

In a statement Thursday, Belgian prosecutors said the men were Dutch citizens of Turkish ancestry that were arrested at Zaventem Airport in Brussels Wednesday evening after they returned from Turkey.

Dutch prosecutors said they seized USB sticks and jihadist propaganda in raids of four locations in The Hague, Netherlands, where the men lived. Belgian prosecutors said they found weapons and body armor in a separate search in Brussels.

The men are suspected of membership in a terrorist group, illegal weapons possession "in a terrorist context," and financing terrorism, the Belgian prosecutors said. The suspects appeared before an investigative judge in Dendermonde, Belgium, on Thursday and remain in custody.
