MUMBAI, India (AP) — At least seven people are dead, and eight others have been hurt, in the collapse of an old, seven-story residential building near the Indian city of Mumbai.

Authorities say the building had already been condemned as unsafe when it crashed down into a huge pile of concrete slabs.

Searchers pulled out seven bodies and eight survivors with minor injuries. They continued to dig into the wreckage to see whether more people were trapped.
