Wisconsin man wins IronMan Louisville 2016

Competitors tackle IronMan triathlon

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) – A Plymouth, Wisconsin man has won this year’s IronMan Louisville triathlon.

Tyler Le Roy finished the competition with a best overall time of 9:01:17.

Athletes started the triathlon around 7:30 a.m. with a 2.4-mile swim in the Ohio River, followed by a 112-mile bike ride and a full marathon, running from downtown to Iroquois Park twice.

Matthew Musiak of Easthampton, Massachusetts came in second with an overall time of 9:07:20.

Winners will continue the race through midnight.
