Voting booth selfies illegal in Kentucky, 24 other states

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WHAS11) -- When you head to the polls to vote in November you may want to keep your phone in your pocket.

It is currently illegal to take selfies while voting in 25 states including Indiana and Kentucky. If caught in Indiana you could face felony charges for taking a picture of your ballot and sharing it online.

In Kentucky, cameras and recording devices are banned from polling places

A Federal appeals court is currently reviewing the laws to see if they are a violation of free expression.
