LOUISVILLE (WHAS11) -- The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet (KYTC) is directing motorists of evening lane closures this week on Interstate 64 in Jefferson County at the Cochran Hill tunnels (mile marker 8.4). Crews will be replacing doors on the cabinets that house fire extinguishers in the tunnel.
I-64 will be reduced to one lane Dec. 11 at the Cochran Hill tunnels from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m. Crews will start on the westbound side and then move to the eastbound side.
Any work that is not completed this evening will be performed on Thursday evening, Dec. 14 from 7 p.m. until 11 p.m.
