CLARK COUNTY, Ind. (NEWS RELEASE) —Bridge superstructures are being replaced—beginning after the holiday weekend—at two bridges that overpass Interstate 65 in Clark County. The Indiana Department of Transportation will close the Hebron Church Road bridge and the Ebenezer Church Road bridge on Monday, July 6.
Both bridges will remain closed for up to 120 days while contracted crews demolish and replace the 4-span continuous composite steel beam structures that were build in the late 1950s, leaving only bridge piers in place.
Lane restrictions and rolling roadblocks will occur as needed at the bridge sites on I-65 when operations overhead impact motorists' safety.
The 214-foot Hebron Church Road bridge is located in Monroe Township at the Clark State Forest, 1.27 miles north of State Road 160.
The 233-foot Ebenezer Church Road bridge is located in Union Township, 4.46 miles south of S.R. 160.
E & B Paving is the states contractor for this $2,155,850 INDOT Seymour District bridge replacement project. The contract's completion date is October 31.
