(WHAS 11) -- One popular social networking site is stepping up its efforts to protect your privacy.
Twitter is adopting the "do not track" feature of the Firefox browser. This means you will be able to stop the site from collecting information about you.

The feature prevents websites from using cookies to track your personal information and online movements.

To use this service on Twitter, you must select the "do not track" feature within Firefox.
Other top web browsers have similar features.
