(WHAS 11) -- Some Louisville area cell phone users may have already noticed increased speed on their AT&T phones, but a full rollout to AT&T 4G/LTE is not yet complete.
Some users of AT&T's data service with LTE capable devices are picking up the new LTE service right now in Louisville. In a statement from AT&T, the wireless provider tells WHAS11 News that "they are continuing to expand 4G LTE coverage nationwide.... As part of the rollout, they say they're regularly testing and turning up parts of the network. "
AT&T had previously said an LTE rollout in Louisville by the end of 2012 was a possibility.
