According to police documents, Donald Doran went into the Value Mart at 1250 Bardstown Road Monday evening and left without paying the ice cream. When police were called, they learned Doran was walking northbound on Bardstown Road and police were given a description of him. Once police caught up with the man, they confronted him, but Doran took a 'fighting stance' towards the officer. The officer then took out his taser and pointed it at Doran, according to the report. That's when, according the police, Doran took off running down Bardstown Road.
